Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Dr Mohammed Goje, will feature as a guest speaker at a sideline programme during the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Dr Goje will join the “Nigeria at the Nexus” event and address the theme “Power Beyond Force: Diaspora, Technology and the New Architecture of National Power.”
The discussion will examine how Nigeria can use its diaspora, technology, innovation and strategic partnerships to strengthen national development and influence.
The programme runs on 22 September 2026 from 08:30 to 15:00 EDT (13:30 to 20:00 West African Time) at the Central Park Forum, 810 Seventh Avenue, New York.
Organisers say the meeting will bring together stakeholders to consider how Nigeria can convert its human capital, technological potential and global connections into greater national power and development.
Dr Goje’s participation is expected to highlight perspectives from Yobe State and Nigeria on the contribution of leadership, technology and the diaspora to the country’s future.
