The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has arrived in the state following his appointment by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday.

President Tinubu cited the prolonged political crisis in the state as the reason for his decision and also suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Nma Ordu, and all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The suspension has drawn widespread criticism from key political figures and organizations, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and others.
