Kabiru Masari, special adviser on political matters to President Bola Tinubu, and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni have donated a total of 600 million naira to the Izala movement in Jos, Plateau State.
Mr Masari announced the donation at the headquarters of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah, led by Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, during a one-day national symposium.
He told the gathering: “Sheikh, I have also donated 300 million naira. Provide the bank account and it will be deposited tomorrow, God willing. My brother, the governor of Yobe State, has also given 300 million naira, so we will transfer a total of 600 million naira to you, God willing.”
Sheikh Jingir responded by praying for the donors, saying: “May Allah reward you with goodness.”
The event was attended by several senior political figures, including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and the governors of Yobe, Kano, Jigawa and Sokoto states — Mai Mala Buni, Abba Kabir Yusuf, Umar Namadi and Ahmed Aliyu.
