Man Electrocuted in Suspected Cable Theft at Borno Varsity

The Borno State Police Command has confirmed the death of an unidentified man suspected of attempting to steal electrical cables near a transformer inside Borno State University, Maiduguri.

Police spokesperson ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso said the body was recovered with the support of fire service officials and taken to a hospital for medical examination.

Commissioner of Police, Naziru Abdulmajid, cautioned against such criminal acts, warning that tampering with electrical installations not only endangers lives but also poses serious risks to public safety.
