Borno Youth Connect (BYC) has extended its warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori, the visionary CEO of ThinkLab Group, on his well-deserved appointment as Special Advisor on International Relations and Development to the Chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum, His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni, Executive Governor of Yobe State.
In a statement signed by Comrade Abba Kyaree, Executive Director of Press for BYC, the group commended the decision, describing Dr. Kori’s appointment as timely and strategic, especially in view of his exceptional track record in international development, innovation, and governance.
“Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori is a beacon of excellence and an outstanding ambassador of the youth from the Lake Chad region. His wealth of experience, leadership acumen, and global network will no doubt bring fresh insight and technical expertise to the Forum, especially as it tackles cross-border challenges including development, security, and climate adaptation,” the statement read.
BYC praised Governor Mai Mala Buni for recognizing merit and capacity by appointing a youth leader with deep roots in the region and a global outlook.
“This appointment is not just a personal achievement for Dr. Kori, but a win for the entire youth population of Borno and the broader Lake Chad area. It affirms that competence, vision, and integrity still matter in leadership selection,” Comrade Abba Kyaree added.
The group expressed confidence in Dr. Kori’s ability to support the Governors Forum in strengthening collaboration among the Lake Chad Basin States and engaging international partners for sustainable peace, development, and prosperity.
Borno Youth Connect concluded by wishing Dr. Kori success in his new role and reaffirmed its readiness to support initiatives that advance youth inclusion, good governance, and regional cooperation.
