Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, paid a solemn visit to the 27 Task Force Brigade Headquarters in Buni Gari today, offering heartfelt condolences following a recent deadly attack by insurgents.

Describing the resurgence of insurgency and the assault on the military base as “unfortunate,” Governor Buni expressed deep sympathy for the Nigerian Army and the families of the fallen soldiers.

“These gallant officers did not die in vain—they gave their lives defending their fatherland,” he stated.

In a show of solidarity and support, the Governor donated ₦2 million to each family of the deceased personnel and ₦1 million to every soldier injured in the line of duty. He also pledged educational sponsorship for the children of the fallen heroes.

Reinforcing his commitment to the troops, Governor Buni announced an additional ₦50 million cash donation to be shared among personnel of the 27 Task Force Brigade. The state government also delivered food supplies, mattresses, blankets, and other essential items to bolster the welfare of the soldiers.

The visit highlights the administration’s ongoing support for security forces and the families of those who make the ultimate sacrifice in the fight against terrorism.
