Minimum Wage strike: Tinubu meets with negotiating team

President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, met with the members of the Tripartite Committee on the New National Minimum Wage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This comes after the organised Labour comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, called off the strike for one week.

The committee members were in the Presidential Villa to discuss with Tinubu on the next line of action, following the promise to pay workers over N60,000 as minimum wage.

Those present include Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company limited, CEO NNPCL, Melee Kyari.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, also attended the meeting.
