Gov. Agbu Kefas waxes stronger within just thirty six days in office

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas is waxing stronger just within thirty six days after assuming the mantle of leadership of the State.

Within this period the Governor approved the enrollment of 1,166 Local Government retirees from July 2018 to May 2023, comprising of Local Government Staff, retired Primary School Teachers, Primary Health Care Development Agency Staff and Staff of Traditional Councils which payment is ongoing for the sixteen Local Governments in the State.

Similarly, Governor Agbu Kefas embarked on the renovation of the Executive Council Chambers at the Government House, Jalingo and the SSG’s office which are almost completed, approved the complete renovation of Comprehensive Secondary School also in Jalingo, approved for fifty percent deduction of students School fees of the Taraba State University and the School of Nursing and Midwifery both in Jalingo.

Further more, Dr. Kefas approved for free distribution of Fertilizers and distribution of 855 new Tractors to farmers across the State as well as employed 300 street cleaners who have already commenced work in Jalingo the State Capital.

The Governor also gave a Matching Order to Contractors for the completion of the State Marshall Head Office in Kona Ward Jalingo and made swift intervention in resolving the lingering crisis between the Karimjo and Wurkum ethnic groups in Karim Lamido Local Government.

He approved for provision of monthly Security votes to the 16 Local Government Councils and free Education in all Government Secondary and Primary Schools in Taraba State.

Commenting on these great fits of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas so far, Lamdo Gashaka a First Class traditional ruler in the State Zubairu Hammangabdo Mohammed Sambo said really the Governor has started with the right foot and prayed God to enable him succeed.

Chairman Nigeria Union of Pensioners NUP Taraba State Council Comrade Kefas Katan Commended the Governor for enrolling Local Government retirees who have been on the waiting list for several years for payment of Pension and urged him to look into the issue of payment of gratuity which has not been paid in the Taraba State for the past thirteen years and other benefits of Pensioners that were approved by the Federal Government and implemented in most States in the Country but not implemented in Taraba State.

Comrade Kefas Katan urged the Governor to remain focus and not to allow himself to be distracted.
