Insecurity: Taraba Govt relaxes curfew on LG by 12 hours

Taraba State Government on Friday ordered the relaxation of the 24-hour curfew on Karim-Lamido Local Government Area by 12 hours.

Following the development, the curfew would now be from 6:00 Pm to 6:00 am till further government communication.

In a press statement issued to journalists by Mr Yusuf Sanda, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Agbu Kefas, the development followed governor Kefas’s positive engagement with key players of the dispute communities in Karim Lamido local government.

According to the statement, government has noticed positive recuperation between Wurkun and Karimjo people after a meeting with the Community leaders and has taken the decision as a gradual step to ease the curfew
