Elders Purchase Governorship Form For Buni

Yobe State elders have presented N50 million expression of interest and nomination forms they purchased for Governor Mai Mala Buni’s second term bid in 2023 according to Daily Trust.

The elders comprised critical stakeholders drawn from 17 local governments, party chairmen, council chairmen, representatives of business and community leaders and APC supporters from the grassroots.

The Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, on Friday handed over the form to the APC state chairman Mohammed Gadaka who will deliver it to Governor Buni.

Gubana explained that the elders were impressed with Buni’s performance in the state over the last three years.

Gubana also inaugurated the 14-man state council of elders committee who will chair reconciliation and mediation in the forthcoming party primaries.
