EFCC Nabs 37 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Taraba

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Wukari, Taraba State.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, the commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate carried out the operation behind the Federal University, Wukari, following credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged cybercrime activities.

Items recovered from the suspects include two cars, 12 laptops, and 46 mobile phones.

Oyewale added that the suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court soon.
