As Nigerians mark the June 12 Democracy Day celebration, some aggrieved citizens on Wednesday protested against the current state of the country.

The aggrieved Nigerians took to the streets to protest against the hunger and economic hardship.

In Lagos State, some protesters who gathered in Ikeja said it’s time for President Bola Tinubu’s administration to be removed from power.

They anchored their demand on the economic hardship Nigerians are facing, stressing that “Nigerians can’t feed their families comfortably under Tinubu”.

The protesters displayed placards bearing messages such as, ‘President Tinubu, let the poor breath’, and ‘Reverse all anti-people, Neoliberal policies of privatisation’.

In a post on X, one of the protesters said, “We called for it and we are on the street in Ikeja Under Bridge. The tyrannical and oppressive government of @officialABAT must be shown the way out. We are hungry and angry. WeAreHungryProtest. June12Protest.”

In the same vein, in Abuja, aggrieved Nigerians gathered under the Berger Bridge to protest against the Tinubu administration.
