President Bola Tinubu has assured that he would never disappoint Nigerians.

Tinubu gave the assurance on Wednesday in a nationwide broadcast commemorating Nigeria’s 25th anniversary of democracy.

The President appealed to Nigerians to endure the hardships of economic reform, saying that the steps are required to put the country on solid economic footing.

“As we continue to reform the economy, I shall always listen to the people and will never turn my back on you,” he said.

Tinubu also spoke on the recent talks with organized labour on a new national minimum wage, adding that the government negotiated in good faith and will shortly present an executive measure to the National Assembly to entrench the agreed-upon salary for the next five years or less.

He emphasized the importance of both political and economic democracy, urging the nation to continue striving for a brighter future.

The president acknowledged the country’s economic woes and the need for changes to provide a better platform for future prosperity.
