VIDEO: Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme have stormed the streets of Abuja protesting over several months of unpaid pensions.

Jn a video shared on the Channels TV’s X handle on Tuesday, the retirees could be seen holding placards and chanting, “All we are saying give us our right”.

They arrived from various state chapters, expressing their frustration with the hardship their members were enduring due to PENCOM’s inability to pay their entitlements.

The retirees are urging the Federal Government to exempt them from the contributory pension scheme.
