Egypt avenged their defeat by Cameroon in the 2017 final, knocking out the hosts on penalties to set up a Sunday showdown with Senegal.

The host were the better side in the first half, Aboubakar hitting the junction of bar and post, both side left the pitch with out finding the back of the net.
