Moving the motion on behalf of the 14 members, the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Ya’u Usman Dachia said the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has predicted that Yobe State would be among the states that may experience flood disaster.

He stressed the need for the government to ensure that all drainages are cleared, adding that those residing in flood prone areas should also be evacuated to safer places.
