Governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasiru Idris, has sacked his Special Adviser on Youths for posting homosexual content on his Whatsapp status.

The post made by the aide, Babangida Sarki, generated condemnation on social media.

Reacting, a statement issued on Kebbi State Government’s official Twitter page said that the sack of the S.A. was a sequel to an indecent post he made on his WhatsApp status.

The statement said the Governor was enraged by the obnoxious development, adding that the aide trampled on the moral and social ethos of the Kebbi society, which is largely Islamic.

”The Kauran Gwandu vowed that his administration would not condone any of such acts that denigrate the morality and integrity of the people of the state,” the statement read.

He, therefore, cautioned other public officers against making such heinous postings on their social media handles.
