Egypt come from behind to win their AFCON 2021 clash against Morocco

After securing a victory over Ivory Coast in the penalty shootout of the R16, the Pharaoh’s of Egypt take on Morocco in the Quarterfinals which sees them snatch the semifinals ticket in the Extratime.

Morocco have a had an advantage in the first half,pulling their hopes up with a goal.

Sofiane Boufal who strikes perfectly from the spot kick to give his side a lead in the 7th minute.

The Egyptians fought back to get an equalizer as Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah tapped home from close range to level things up for his side.

The Egyptians complete the comeback after Salah’s equaliser and the star man set up the winner in extra time, Trezeguet netting the decisive strike from close range.

Egypt will face Cameroon in the semifinals of the AFCON 2021 in a repeat of the 2017 final.
