Nigeria police is refusing to pay me N5m – Lady flogged by Police in viral clip

A Nigerian woman, Tola Azeez, has claimed that the Nigeria Police Force is yet to pay her N5million she is entitled to after a court ordered that she receives compensation for being assaulted.

She was captured in a video which went viral weeks ago, being flogged with cane by policemen in uniform in Iwo, Osun state.

The victim dragged the officers and entire police force to court to seek justice and she won the case. The court then ordered police to pay her N5million for damages.

However, Tola lamented in a recent Twitter post about the force’s alleged failure to pay her the sum.

She called on Nigerians to prevail on the relevant authorities to see to it that the court ordered is abided by

The woman gave the update after someone brought up her case and asked if she finally got justice.

In response to a question, one @betawale shared a recent photo and wrote; “Here she is, the lady beaten at Iwo by police officers. her name is @fabhally. The officers were dismissed, court ordered that the police pay her compensation but till now, kobo she never get. This photo was at the hospital after the incident. She is just getting balanced again.

Tola then gave the update via her Twitter account and said she can never forget the paisnshe went through.

She said; “Alhamdulillah I am living to tell this story. Not easy. The pains I went through can never be forgotten. Still feels like yesterday. Thank you @betawale you stood solid.”

The assault victim added; “This is me. Nigerians you raised your voice for me then. Till now I didn’t get a dime from the Nigerian police. The refused to obey the rule of law. Even after the court pronounced it in judgement that they should pay me damages worth of 5million naira, they have refused.”
