The Indomitable Lions run in the AFCON continues, with the host reaching the last eight after their victory over Comoros.

Cameroon came through their group unbeaten with two wins and a draw, and the expectations will be high from the home fans

Toko Ekambi scores the opener for Cameroon in the 29th minute to give the host a first half lead.

Vincent Aboubakar strikes in the late second half to double his side’s lead, this sees him pass Samuel Etoo’s record(5) of most goals in a single AFCON tournament for Cameroon, netting his Sixth goal in four games to remain the competition’s top goal scorer.

Despite the defeat,Comoros showed a world class performance, going down to 10-men in the 7th minute after their key player and Captain Nadjim Abdou was sent off.

The Comorians stand without seven first team players, including their goal keeper, who was replaced by Chaker Alhadur.

The host will facs Gambia in the Quarterfinals, who earlier defeat Guinea with a single goal to advance to the next round.
