Philanthropist and community leader, Alhaji Sani Ahmad Kaitafi, has successfully concluded his ₦2 million cash palliative programme for widows across the 20 wards of Bade Emirate in Yobe State.

The initiative, which culminated in Katuzu Ward, Gashu’a, saw 100 widows receive ₦20,000 each as direct, non-conditional financial support to cushion the current economic hardship.

On October 11, 2025, Kaitafi posted on his official social media page thanking God and all those who worked with him to complete the programme.

“Today in Gashu’a, we were able to conclude our token support of ₦20,000 per widow for 100 widows. I saw joy love and gratitude in the faces of the beneficiaries,” he posted. “With today’s event, we have been able to cover all the 20 wards in the Bade Emirate of Yobe State. Moving on to the next.”

Kaitafi expressed gratitude to the members of the organizing committee, especially PDP Youth Leader in Yobe State, Alhaji Wambai Bulama, Mallam Rabiu College, Mallam Nura, Mallam Hammadu, the Hisbah Board, and others for their role in ensuring fairness and transparency during the distribution.

He noted that this gesture was done out of compassion and faith, not politics, noting that God rewards giving to those in distressed with no strings connected.

“I believe the money will not go far because our people face many challenges in life,” he said. “Even though it is a small amount, I am happy for them to get my gift. It is God’s promise that whatever we give sincerely will be our standing on the Day of Judgment.”

Community leaders and residents of the Bade Emirate have continued to praise the philanthropist for his commitment to charitable work, describing the initiative as a “ray of hope during economic uncertainty.”

Kaitafi, who is known for his continuing support for widows, orphans, and less privileged families, has completed similar empowerment projects throughout Yobe communities, giving him a reputation as one of the most active grassroots benefactors in the state.
