Former Senator representing Adamawa North, Ishaku Elisha Abbo, has officially confirmed the end of his marriage to his wife, Patience, after two and a half years together.

The announcement was first made public on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, when Patience Abbo took to her Facebook page to share the news. In a candid post, she wrote:

“Thank you for the two and a half years we spent together. We both tried, but we are better off apart. Indeed, we are both free from our miserable lives. I wish you all the best. The chapter has closed, and our marriage has ended.”

Shortly after her statement, Senator Abbo also issued a brief message on social media confirming the separation:

“This is to announce an end of my marriage with Patience. The privacy should be respected. God bless you all. Thank you.”

The news of their split has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms, drawing reactions from supporters, critics, and observers alike.

Senator Abbo, who served in the 9th National Assembly, has not provided further details regarding the cause of the separation, and both parties have asked for privacy during this time.
