Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle.

The exercise involves four commissioners in what Fintiri describes as an effort to optimize his administration’s performance.

The reshuffle translates into Mrs Neido Geoffrey Kufulto who was Commissioner for Information, now taking on the role of Commissioner for Women Affairs.

According to a statement released Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Mrs Wunfe Anthony moves from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Transportation.

Mr James Iliya, previously Commissioner for Entrepreneurship, takes over as Commissioner for Information while Hamajumba Gatugel, formerly of the Ministry of Transport is now in charge as Commissioner in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship.

According to the government statement, Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in his commissioners’ ability to deliver on their new responsibilities, saying, “This reshuffle is designed to maximize our team’s strengths and improve services to the people of Adamawa State.”
