Adamawa first lady’s project organizes healthcare outreach for 1, 000 women

Fresh Air Pro-Life Empowerment Foundation, FAPEF, is set to give free medical care to 1, 000 women suffering from breast or cervical cancer in Adamawa State.

FAPEF is a foundation founded by Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, wife of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, it aimed at providing much-needed healthcare services to women in the state.

Ishaya Bitrus, senior special adviser on media to the first lady confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday.

 

 

He said the free medical outreach will be for any woman suffering from breast or cervical cancer from far and near.

According to him, the three-day free medical outreach will be kick-started October 19 Specialist Hospital, Yola, capital of Adamawa State.

Mr. Bitrus added that the initiative is not just about medical treatment; it is about empowering individuals, families and our community with the knowledge to combat cancer.
