Naira diminish to N464.42 against Dollar at official exchange market

Barely five days before the inauguration of the incoming government, the Naira on Tuesday depreciated at the Investors and Exporters window, exchanging at N464.42 to the dollar.

The figure represents a 0.20 per cent decrease against N463.50 traded on the previous day (Monday).

Accordingly, on Tuesday, an open indicative rate closed at N464.10 to the dollar.

An exchange rate of N632 to the dollar was the highest rate recorded within Tuesday’s trading before it settled at N464.42.

The naira sold for as low as 460 to the dollar within the day’s trading.

Consequently, at the official Investors and Exporters window, $215.91 million was traded.
