The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar,  and National Chairman of the party Iyorchia Ayu, led some party chieftains on a protest march to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters, Abuja, over the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.

MAIDAWAAREWA reports that the protesters who wore black clothes converged at the Legacy House before marching to the INEC headquarters in Maitama.

Abiye Sekibo, Dino Melaye, and Uche Secondus were some of the other PDP chieftains spotted at the protest.

Recalls that the election which produced Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the president-elect is being disputed by both the PDP and Labour Party. The parties came second and third respectively.

Despite pressure on the INEC to cancel the election, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Commission last Wednesday declared the APC flag-bearer as the winner of the 2023 election.
