Senatorial Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP for Taraba Central Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama has vowed to unbundled all the Problems of the Mambilla Hydro Electric Power Project which have been lingering for over forty years if elected into the Senate.

Comrade Bala Kaigama who made this known while featuring on the Media Parley organized by the Correspondent’s Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Taraba State Council explained that as a stakeholder in Mambilla Plateau he is in clear picture of the problems which prevented the execution of Project fingering corruption as the the major cause of the hiccups.

He also promised to revisit the Kashimbila Power project for optimal performance to ensure that it serves the entire people of Taraba State.

The NNPP Senatorial Candidate Said the Central Zone of Taraba State is the the most blessed in all ramifications but the most backward in terms of development as a result of non performance by previous representatives of the area at the National Assembly.

He said the Zone lacks all basic necessities of life such as roads, water, electricity and health facilities among others.

Kaigama observed that the major problem of the zone is lack of Power because the Central Zone is the only zone that is yet to be connected to the National grid which is hindering development in the area.

The NNPP Senatorial Candidate condemned in totality the proposed privatization of the Mambilla Beverages Company producers of the Highland tea by the Taraba State Government arguing that at the moment the Company is Performing well and making huge profits and see no reason for selling it out at this time.

He said the Kakara Community relinquished their lands free of charge to the Company on take off noting that if the Taraba State Government insists on selling the company the people of the area must be compensated to avoid public unrest.

Kaigama said if given the mandate to represent the area at the red Chamber he will develop the tourism potentials of the Mambilla Plateau, provide Skills acquisition Centers for youths and women to build their capacities in all trades saying that the security challenges facing the nation was as a result of lack of proper engagement of the youths.

The NNPP Senatorial hopeful described the Presidential candidate of the NNPP and the Party as the best maintaining that the party fielded candidates in all elective positions across the Country describing the insinuation going round that the NNPP is a new party that lacks structures and capacity as a gimmick.
