Bandits Abduct Scores, Set Houses Ablaze In Jos communities

Bandits on Sunday attacked villages in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State, setting houses on fire after abducting several others.

The attacked communities are Kukawa, Gyanbahu, Dungur and Keram villages, several people were killed in those communities while several properties were also burnt.

Mr Adam Musalawa, a resident of Kukawa village, said that many people were also injured in the attack.

According to him, several residents have fled their homes, he said that security operatives were unavailable during the attack, thereby giving the bandits free time to operate.

The spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, did not respond to calls and text messages sent to him.
