The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, says as a denomination, it would not be part of any protest against the government of President Bola Tinubu.

It warned its entire members in every part of the country not to partake in any protest against the government.

A statement issued by ECWA Public Relations Officer, Rev. Ibrahim Kassim, said, “ECWA as a denomination wishes to inform the general public that we are not part of the planned protest, and we are calling on our members to disregard the action in totality, and not to participate in any way.

“We are all aware that protests can take different dimensions as witnessed during the EndSARS protest when hoodlums infiltrated the protesters and wrecked serious havoc that led to the loss of many lives and properties.”

He noted that considering the volatile nature of protests in Nigeria that may be hijacked by miscreants and result in humongous damages, members of the denomination should stay clear from any protest in the country.

The statement assured members that ECWA leadership was doing everything possible in advising governments at the local, state and federal levels to take proactive measures in addressing the plight and suffering of citizens in the shortest possible time.
