Yobe Spelling Bee: UK family donates to potential winners

A family from the United Kingdom, UK has made some cash donations to potential winners at the ongoing Spelling Bee competition in Yobe State.

The family, Dr. Benjamin and Family donated N45,000 to potential winners in the competition.

According to information sourced from Dr. Mohammed Goje, executive secretary of Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, YOSEMA, and also the host of the program, the winner of the tournament, the runner-up and third position would all benefit from the amount.

He noted that N20,000 will go to the winner, while the runner-up and third position would get N15,000 and N10,000 respectively.

Dr. Benjamin is a Nigerian living in the UK with his family.

The Spelling Bee, which is the second edition of the program in the state started on Wednesday and will end on Friday.
