World Cup winner agrees contract extension with club

After a dramatic and successful world Cup triumph, it seems the Argentinian international is ready to commit some years to play for Paris saint Germain.  It is without doubt that Lionel Messi is now in a very good state of footballing peak as seen by his Qatar2022 world Cup performance.

Lionel Messi has now reached verbal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to extend the contract and stay

Even though it has not been officially signed, reports has it that Messi has verbally accepted to stay and continue at PSG beyond 2023 as deal will be signed very soon.

Reports has it that Messi might move to Inter Miami and continue his career but Messi never accepted Inter Miami proposal or negotiated with Barcelona, he was approached by both clubs but it was never advanced.

The verbal agreement has  no decision yet on the depth of contract and salary, it will be decided in a new meeting soon as the board is still working to sort things out.

The decision of the player is to focus and achieve more at PSG, the champions League with the club being one of the feat aimed by the player and one of numerous reasons the club sees the need to extend his contract.
