Turji Reportedly Kills 44 Security Operatives, Burns Military Truck in Zamfara

Notorious bandit leader Bello Turji has allegedly carried out a deadly ambush near Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing 44 security personnel, including 40 members of the Joint Task Force (JTF) and four soldiers.

The attack was reported Tuesday by security analyst Bakatsine via a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). According to the report, the insurgents also set a military vehicle ablaze during the assault.

“Bello Turji reportedly killed 40 JTF members and four soldiers near Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara State, burning a military vehicle,” the post read.

In a separate development, Turji released a disturbing video showing the execution of a former bandit, Bashari Maniya, whom he accused of cooperating with security forces after renouncing criminal activities.

As of the time of filing this report, official confirmation from security agencies is still awaited.
