Explosion at Scrap Metal Factory in Mariri, Kano, Claims Five Lives

An explosion at a scrap metal factory in Mariri, located along the Kano-Maiduguri Road, has resulted in the tragic deaths of five individuals, with several others hospitalized.

Kano Police have confirmed the fatalities, and the injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.

Authorities report that the explosion occurred while a group of laborers were offloading metal scrap from a truck that had reportedly been transported from Damaturu, Yobe State.

Police officers who arrived promptly at the scene evacuated the victims and ensured they received immediate medical attention.

Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, visited the site in mufti ordered the Bomb Disposal Unit to secure the area to prevent any further explosions.
