Gov. Buni declared Spelling Bee competition open, reaffirm support on education

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has declared open the Spelling Bee competition in his state.

Spelling Bee is a words spelling competition among school children and this is the second edition of the program in the state.

Representated by his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, the governor appreciated the effort of the organizers and ensure full support throughout the program.

He also reaffirmed their government’s commitment in investing in education and supporting educational programs in the state.

Also speaking, the executive secretary of Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) Dr. Mohammed Goje, who is also the host of the program, urged the state government to take over the project at government level.

The competition, which constitute the total of 72 schools from across the 17 LGA in Yobe will end on 11th of this month.
