Amid criticism, Tinubu set to return to Nigeria Monday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been billed to return to Nigeria on Monday, 21st April 2025, after a trip to France, Europe, since April 2nd.

A presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a terse statement on his X account Monday.

Earlier, the presidency said Tinubu is working remotely from Europe, dismissing speculations surrounding his absence in Aso Rock.

This comes as presidential candidate at the 2025 election, Atiku Abubakar, criticised Tinubu for being absent despite the killings in Plateau and Benue States.

Similarly, Peter Obi, 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, lamented that since the departure of the president, killings had skyrocketed in the country.
