VP Shettima attends Hajja Aisa’s funeral, sympathizes with bomb victims

Kashim Shettima, Nigeria’s Vice President, has arrived Maiduguri, to attend the funeral prayer of Hajja Aisa, mother of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, former governor of Borno.

Shettima also sympathized with victims of the recent Gwoza bomb blasts.

Upon arrival, he was received by Umar Usman Kadafur, acting Governor of Borno State.

He was accompanied by Mohammed Ali Ndume, senator representing southern Borno; Bello Ayuba, state party chairman of the All Progressive Congress and other top government functionaries.

Shettima expressed condolences to Sen. Sheriff and his family, praying for Hajji Asia’s soul to rest in peace.

He also sympathized with Gwoza bomb blast victims, emphasizing government support for those affected.
