The Emir of Muri HRH Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida says the Governor of Taraba State Agbu Kefas is doing what’s right and on the right track of developing the State.

The Emir who made this assertion while speaking with the Press on Tuesday in his Palace in Jalingo said he fell in love with the governor because he is doing what is right.

“I only join in support of a Governor or Government when I am satisfied that his intentions, directions, and level of consultations are reasonable and good.” The Emir maintained.

Abbas Tafida observed that the Governor started very well and he offered himself to join him, calling on the people of the State to support the Governor to build a better Taraba in the interest of the future generations.

He noted that immediately after the Governor emerged he did not waste time but moved to address the problem of education and infrastructural decay confronting the State.

“When he came in as the Governor, his first steps were the best, he went straight to attack the heart of the problems of the State which are education and infrastructural decay.” Abbas Tafida said.

He lauded the Governor for collaborating with the Muri Emirate Council to make Jalingo the State capital attractive and safe and for his concern to Farmers in the State who are still doing their activities the old way.

He made a case for the modernization of the agricultural activities in the State to move with the present realities to fully Commercialised Agriculture.

“The time is riped to put in more Government attention in land management to enable farmers do their activities the right way” the Emir restated.

Tafida also made a case for attitudinal change from the people towards making Jalingo attractive and cooperating with the Government to achieve its good intentions.
