NAF aircraft crashes in Kaduna

A Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Super Mushshak trainer aircraft crashed in Kaduna on Thursday.

The Mushshak aircraft crashed at about 2:35 pm.

A statement issued by NAF spokesman, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, said no casualty was recorded as the two pilots escaped unhurt.

“The accident, which occurred at about 3.5 nautical miles from Kaduna Military Airfield, involved two pilots, who were returning from a routine training flight.

“Luckily, both pilots came out of the crash unscathed”, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, has ordered a preliminary investigation to ascertain the cause of the crash.

“The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has since directed for a preliminary investigation to ascertain the immediate cause of the crash”, the statement said.
