After Securing 40 Votes in Last Primary, Kagu Steps Down for Party Unity

Abubakar Kagu, former executive sectary of Yobe state scholarship board has withdrawn his aspiration to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, citing loyalty to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the need to strengthen party unity ahead of future political engagements.

Kagu announced his decision in a statement posted on his official Facebook page following a meeting with Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

The former executive sectary of Yobe state scholarship board, who secured 40 votes during the last primary election, said he decided to step down in support of the incumbent representative in the interest of unity and political stability within the constituency.

He urged his supporters and political associates across the constituency to accept the development in good faith and remain committed to the ideals and progress of the party.

Kagu also reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC leadership and pledged continued support for the administration of Governor Buni.
