In a decisive operation to thwart planned terror attacks during the Eid celebrations, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted successful airstrikes on key Boko Haram hideouts in Borno State.

The strikes, carried out under Operation Hadin Kai, targeted terrorist enclaves in Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the southern Tumbuns region, following actionable intelligence.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, confirmed the operation in an official statement. He noted that the air raids specifically hit structures used by terrorists for logistics storage and operational coordination, crippling imminent threats to civilian lives.

“NAF aircraft delivered precise and devastating blows to terrorist locations,” the statement read. “These actions neutralized several insurgents and destroyed key facilities used for their operations.”

Ejodame emphasized that the pre-emptive strikes reflect the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment to protecting civilians and preserving national security, particularly during periods of public celebration when threats are heightened.

The operation marks yet another successful intervention by the Nigerian military in its ongoing fight against insurgency in the northeast.
