Yobe Spelling Bee: Gov Buni, deputy, others donates cash, scholarship, as first position take home big

The governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has donated the sum of N500,000 for the winner of the ongoing Spelling Bee competition in his state.

Similarly, his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, has also donated N150,000 to the winner and another N100,000 for the runner-up.

Also, Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI), a non-governmental organization has pledged to grant N100,000 for the winner, N50,000 for the runner-up and N30,000 for third position.

However, the organizing committee had already set aside N100,000, two tablet-phones and a laptop for the potential winner, taking the total cash prize to N850,000.

Also, he/she will be sponsored into the Nigerian Tulip International College among other gifts.

From the organizers, the runner-up will receive N50,000, two tablet phones and sponsorship to any college or it’s equivalent, while the third position will get N25,000.

The organizers has also called for support for the program, as well as anyone willing to donate or support the participants to reach out the them.
