A family in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State has been blessed with quadruplets, bringing joy to the community and beyond. But alongside the celebration comes the challenge of ensuring the well-being of the newborns and their parents.

In a statement, the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mohammed Goje, said the Ministry of Health, community leaders, and local authorities had already provided immediate assistance. However, concerns remain about the family’s ability to cope in the coming months.

“Recognizing the need for sustained support, the Yobe State Government, through SEMA, has stepped in with a comprehensive assistance package,” Goje stated.

According to him, the intervention includes: Full rehabilitation and livelihood support to help the family establish stability, Coverage of all medical expenses not already provided free by the state hospital and An immediate cash deposit of ₦500,000 to kick-start support measures.

“Our intervention is about more than responding to an emergency, it’s about ensuring these children and their family have the foundation for a healthy, secure future,” SEMA officials emphasized.

Goje also provided public contact numbers for the Local Emergency Management Committees in Fika (08025472771) and Potiskum (08033656847), adding that both teams have been fully mobilized to provide on-the-ground assistance and monitor the family’s needs.

The birth of the quadruplets, he said, is a reminder of life’s unexpected blessings and the collective responsibility to ensure such miracles not only survive but thrive.
