Taraba Govt, Security Agencies expressed commitments to peace and Security

The Taraba State Government in collaboration with all Security Agencies have expressed more commitments to enhancing the security networks of the State to enhance the peace being enjoyed across the state.

The state government expressed the commitments on Tuesday, April 8th,2025 at the end of the State Security Council Meeting presided over by governor Dr Agbu Kefas.

Briefing the Press at the end of the meeting, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Defense Corps, NSCDC in the State Anthony Bala Bitrus, said the meeting appraised the security situations across the State and further reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the stability and normalcy been enjoyed in the State.

The NSCDC Commandant said all the Security Agencies are highly committed towards prioritizing the security of the State for progress and development.

He warned criminal elements terrorizing some areas of the State to turn a new leaf as the law will deal decisively with any form of security threats.

On preparations ahead of the First Lady’s visit to the State today Wednesday April 9th, 2025, the Commandant confirmed that Security Agencies are fully prepared to provide adequate protection and ensure a hitch-free of the First Lady

He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in security matters, noting that the security apparatus in the State are intact and functional.
