YOROTA nabs tricycle rider for alleged goat theft in Yobe State

Yobe State Road Traffic Management Agency (YOROTA) said its operatives have apprehended one person for involvement in the theft of a goat using a tricycle in Geidam local government area of Yobe state.

This was made known in a statement signed by YOROTA Public Relations Officer, Musa Ali Maigari, which also indicated that the Geidam Unit Command, led by its Unit Commander Garba Haruna, identified and apprehended the suspect during an operation.

“In accordance with established procedures, the suspect has been officially handed over to a relevant sister agency for further investigation and legal proceedings”, the statement said.

The traffic management agency appreciated the residents of Geidam for their continued cooperation and valuable support in ensuring effective inter-agency collaboration, noting that their active participation is instrumental in advancing the agency’s mission to promote road safety, prevent criminal activities, and foster a secure and well-managed transportation environment across Yobe State.

YOROTA said it remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the public, enhancing inter-agency coordination, and upholding the rule of law in all aspects of its operations.
