While in his remarks, Dr. Rilwan explained that the SMC campaign will be integrated with the ITN mass distribution campaign, targeting children aged 3–59 months with malaria preventive medicines.
The team seeks the ministry’s support in creating awareness through media publications, radio and television jingles to ensure the successful distribution of approximately 2 million insecticide-treated nets and 4.6 million SPAQ doses across the state.
The campaign is scheduled to take place in July and September this year.
With the ministry’s support, Yobe State is poised to make significant strides in preventing malaria and promoting public health.
