Suspected kidnappers reportedly abducted the wife and two children of the head of Galadimawa Village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Hussaini Umar, a traditional leader and Sarkin Fada Galadimawa, who confirmed the incident, said the bandits arrived in the village in large numbers, firing sporadically to scare the residents away before breaking through the wall to gain access to the village head’s residence and kidnapping his wife, Fatima, and sons, Abdullahi and Kamal.

“We are not safe here because the second wife of our village head, Alhaji Aliyu Haruna Galadimawa, and his two children were abducted by bandits as they stormed his residence,” Umar said.

He explained that the attackers ransacked the entire house, including the ceiling, after breaking through the wall, adding that when they could not find the village head, they abducted his second wife and the two children.

The Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, did not pick up his call nor respond to text messages sent to him for confirmation of the incident.
