Suspected kidnapper of judge’s wife in Adamawa arrested

A suspect in connection to the abduction of one Zainab Abbas, identified as wife to a high #court judge in Adamawa has been arrested by Police.

Three months ago, Zainab was abducted in her residence at Nyibango, Army Barracks Road, Jimeta Yola.

Mustapha Mohammed, the suspect was, on Monday, paraded along with 31 other suspected robbers and kidnappers by police in the state.

According to a statement on Tuesday by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesman listed items recovered from the suspects during the arrest.

They include 13 AK-47 rifles, five locally made pistols, four pump-action guns and a cash sum of N1,689,000, among other items.

While reacting to the development, Afolabi Babatola, the commissioner of police of the state presented merit plaques to 11 police officers and four hunters who he said were behind the success of the arrests.

‘The police operatives recognised were mostly from the Crack Squad of the state command,’ SP Nguroje said.
