The Emir of Dutse Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi II has accused the current government of Rivers State under Nyesom Wike of allowing mosques that were built during the time of Rotimi Amaechi to be destroyed.

The Emir made the statement when he received the minister of transportation in his palace in Dutse the state capital of Jigawa.

According to him, at the time when Mr. Amaechi was the governor of Rivers state Muslims living there were accommodated and given the right to worship.

Comparing the two administrations, the monarch said “we are aware that at the time of when Amaechi was the governor of Rivers state mosques were built and Muslims worshiped and do their activities without harassment, unfortunately, we learned that those mosques are now being destroyed.”

He said “I have included the Dutse as in the railway line that we are constructing after the Emir requested for it. I will continue with the project if you support me to be president. If you didn’t, that’s at your own risk because there’s no guarantee that it would be completed.”
