Liverpool have won the Carabao Cup after Kepa Arizzabalaga, brought on for the shoot-out and sends his penalty high over the bar from a Twenty-two penalties, drama ratcheting ever higher with every passing second, and not a single save.

90 minutes of normal time and extra time failed to produce a match winner as the two sides remained locked in a goalless stalemate, heading to a penalty shootout.

Liverpool sees VAR denies Matip’s opener in the 68th minute after Van Dirjk was ruled to be offside.
Lukaku and Havertz also sees their strike rule out by VAR,which pushed the game into a penalty shootout.

But Kepa failed to score a decisive penalty which hands the trophy to Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium.

The Reds lift the trophy for the first time since 2011/2012 after a dramatic and a brilliant performance against their English rivals Chelsea.
