Newcastle earn comfortable 2-0 win at Brentford, who have Josh Dasilva sent off after 11 minutes; Joelinton and Joe Willock score in first half to lift Magpies above their hosts in the table.

Christian Eriksen make a remarkable return to football as he hasn’t played competitive football for the first time since suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, marking his return in the 52nd minute as a substitute in Brentford’s clash with Newcastle United.

Eriksen’s side were already down to 10-men and have given a 2-0 lead to relegation rivals Newcastle.

Brentford will visit Norwich at Carrow Road next Saturday, while Newcastle host Brighton at St James’ Park the same day.
